St James’ Church
Nestled at the heart of the village, St James dates back to the C12th and is one of 12 churches in the Glamorgan Heritage Coast Ministry Area.

There is Sunday morning Family Eucharist on 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th Sundays at 11.00am. 5th Sunday Services at different churches to be confirmed.

Wick and Monknash Village Hall
A vital hub for village activities, the hall was built in 1934 by local volunteers on land given to the community.

The main hall has a stage, separate meeting room, kitchen facilities, disabled access and is available to hire.

Wick Sports Field and Pavilion
Currently owned by the Vale of Glamorgan Council and part-managed by Wick Community Council. As well as providing changing rooms for sports groups, the Pavilion hosts a range of other events and activities, from birthday parties to public workshops, including the Food Hub (aka The Fresh Food Farmacy) and is also home to Wick Youth Club.

The Sports Field offers access for all to a full-size pitch plus Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA).

The Star Inn

Wick Horticultural Society
The Society organises the Annual Wick Village Show held at the Village Hall on the first Saturday in September. Other activities include coach trips to the Autumn Malvern Show and occasional talks/workshops.

Wick and District Pensioners Association
This long-established group meets in Wick and Monknash Village Hall on alternate Mondays from 2pm until 4pm and welcomes people from all around the area – not just Wick!

We enjoy a ‘cuppa’ and biscuits and our diverse programme includes visiting speakers, musical afternoons, exercise ‘tasters’, and more.

We also have days out to places of interest.

Potato Street Players
Wick’s long-running amateur drama group which was formed in 1967. The group regularly stage at least one play each year over four nights in November in The Village Hall.

New members are always welcome whether to ‘tread the boards’ or to help backstage.
